In order to optimize the process chain of laser processing, a flexible laser manufacturing cell is being developed and tested within the scope of the project, which can use the two processing methods of 3D laser cutting and welding in a rapidly changing and arbitrary sequence for the production of complex sheet metal components. The gripping and clamping technology of the production cell, which is to be developed, should be able to adapt automatically to changing part geometries and thus enable a quick change-over to new parts.
