Experience report Dr.-Ing. Lars Vollmer

"It wasn't until I was in the IFA that I internalized learning and (self-)thinking, arguably the most important metacognition of my career."

My school years consisted of cramming, my studies to a large extent of "bulimic learning" (quickly gobbling up content and then spitting it out again in one gush).

It was only in the IFA that I learned to learn and think (for myself), probably the most important metacognition of my career. I don't want to claim that this was always easy and conflict-free - at the same time, the learning curve was gigantic, the organization of the institute highly intelligent and dedicated to success and people, the team spirit unsurpassed, and the friendships I made have endured for me even after 20 years.
